This summer, Sullivan County Victim Services is partnering with the Sullivan County Library and the Mokoma Conservancy for a special event that brings together literacy, nature, and community connection.
On Wednesday, July 31st, we’ll be hosting our Summer, Stories, and Snacks program along the Conklin Run Trail, where a StoryWalk has been installed. The featured book is There’s a Hole in the Log on the Bottom of the Lake—a fun and rhythmic story that’s perfect for readers of all ages.
As we walk the trail and read the story together, we’ll also talk about the benefits of spending time in nature, especially when it comes to emotional well-being and healing. We’ll make a beaded bracelet craft inspired by the story and to wrap up the morning, we’ll head over to the SCVS porch for an Ice Cream Social!
This event is free and open to all. We hope you’ll join us for a peaceful walk, a good story, and a chance to connect with others in a beautiful outdoor setting.
