The second Saturday in August is always a special time for Sullivan County. This is when Dushore comes alive for Founders Day! This annual event brings together community members, local businesses, and organizations for a day full of fun, connection, and the famous outhouse races. The streets fill with laughter, local vendors showcase their products, and there’s a palpable sense of pride in our shared history.
SCVS is excited to be part of the festivities again this year! We'll be there with an outreach table to share information about the free and confidential services we provide to our community, offering resources and support for survivors and anyone in need. Whether you're familiar with our work or just curious to learn more, we encourage you to stop by, meet our team, and discover how we can help you or someone you care about. We’re always eager to connect, answer questions, and strengthen our ties with the people we serve.
